    Hike Description:
  • Depart Doc Long's parking lot.
  • Hike on Bill Spring Trail to Oso Corredor Trail (sign says Faulty Trail)
  • Follow Oso Corredor to junction with Faulty Trail
  • Follow left (lower) fork (Faulty Trail) south to Sulphur Canyon (see Note)
  • Continue on Faulty Trail to Cienega Horse Bypass Trail
  • Horse Bypass Trail to Paved Cienega Spring access road
  • Down hill through Sulphur Canyon PL and back to Doc Long's PL.
  • This route is approx 4.25mi / 6.8km with an elevation
      variance of 620ft (7260-7880) / 290m (2210-2400).
    Note: The "true" Faulty Trail crosses Bill Spring Trail at the fenced-in well house. The trail between Oso Corredor and Sulphur Canyon Trails could be considered an alternate Faulty Trail. (It is marked and shown on some maps as the Faulty Trail.) The two "Faulty" trails join at their intersection with the Sulphur Canyon Trail.
