Report:
It appears that the rain yesterday (Sunday) evening was
the first in a while for this
area. The ground was moist and some droplets still remained in fallen aspen
leaves this afternoon. However, fleshy fungi were very scarce. An hour
or so along the Crest Trail revealed a half dozen Russulas and a couple of
sparse fruitings of Flammulina velutipes.
If the Sandias continue to get afternoon rains, it might be worth returning
in a week or two.
